Partying all night long, letting your hair loose and dancing away till wee hours sums up the New Year’s Eve for many of us. And next day comes the terrible hangover.
Well, there are times when we shamelessly gulp down shots, and mix up various drinks, but it is the next day when we face the wrath of it in form of the dreadful hangover takes us over. Well, if you are also experiencing a hangover or are looking for cure for your best buddies to help them get over their hangover, then here are 6 simple and easy steps which will sooth your hangover.
1. Water: Feeling hungover is the sign that your body is dehydrated. So the first thing is drink plenty of water. Drink lots of coconut water, or water that is mixed with electrolytes. Drink a glass of water after every shot, glass or can of alcohol. This will surely give you no hangovers the next day. However, the next best thing to do is to drink in chug 3 or 4 cups of water right before you hit the hay.
2. Exercises: We know when you are hungover you don’t even feel like moving. But we are talking about light exercise. Walking in your home and taking short walk breaks (2-5 minutes) in between work, will keep you up and hangover at bay.
3. Healthy Breakfast: What many people tend to do is skip breakfast in order to get over a hangovers. But that greasy calorific breakfast will help you to get over your hangover quicker. So go ahead indulge in some bacons, eggs, cheese, pancakes.
4. Bananas: Bananas are full of potassium, and a great tool to get over hangover too.
If the idea of eating a banana in the wake of hangover, makes queasy, then you can certainly opt for a banana smoothie.
If you are able to stand after a night of drinking or, if you’re still able to stand after you get home from drinking, having a banana before you pass out will help start the recovery process even sooner.
5. Honey: Considered a miracle food to get over hangover, honey can be used in more than way to cure hangover. You can either use it with bananas, or can add it with warm water and lemon. If you are in a bad state then have two to six teaspoons every 20-30 minutes till you start feeling better.
