Police recovered body of a German citizen from the capital’s Uttara on Sunday (August 07).
The deceased, 55-year-old lived in an apartment in sector 5 of Uttara, where his body was found.
Mohammad Mohsin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Uttara West Police Station confirmed the matter to the media saying that, the German national used to work as a tourist guide for a tour operator company called Lonesome Travels for 14 years. The unmarried person lived alone in Bangladesh. A Bangladeshi youth named Jewel used to work at his house. Jewel took leave four days ago and went to Srimangal, the village home.
However, Jewell was in contact with him over the phone. But since Saturday evening, he has not seen the message or picked up the phone. Back in Dhaka, Jewel opened the door of the house around 6:00 am and found him hanging.
