An Inception meeting of Gender Responsive School and Community Safety Initiatives (GRSCSI) project was held at officer’s club of Nageshwari Upazila of Kurigram district. With the support of Plan International Bangladesh Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) organised the event.
The objective of the meeting is to share the concept of the GRSCSI project among government officials and the participants so that they can get a clear understanding of this project. Another objective is to pull the expected cooperation from government institutions and other organizations including communities and local government for the successful implementation of the GRSCSI project.
The Chairman of Upazila Parishad of Nageshwari Mostofa Zaman was present as a chief guest in the meeting. Programme Manager of Plan International Bangladesh Dr Hrishikesh Sarker, and Programme Coordinator of ESDO Jaminy Kumar Sarker were present as special guests.
During the event, there was a presentation on the summary of the project and the ground reality of the Nageshwari Upazila. Question answer session held followed by a presentation where participants got a clear concept on this project. The three years project has started its formal journey in July 2021. The project is being implemented in Bollabherkhash, Kachakata, and Kedar Unions of Nageshwari Upazila.
