A general meeting and election of the Greater Dhaka Journalists Forum (GDJF) will be held at Jatiya Press Club (JPC) on June 19.
The meeting and election of the forum would be followed by an iftar mahfil.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the forum held at the JPC with Forum Convenor Farid Hossain in the chair.
Members of the convening committee of the forum Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Abul Kalam Azad, Daily Ittefaq Managing Editor Ashish Saikat, senior journalists Kartik Chaterjee, Shaheen Chowdhury, Poet Hasan Hafiz, Md Lutfar Rahman Binu, Ataur Rahman, Mahbub Alam, Nuruddin Ahmad, Bulbul Ahmad and Rafikur Rahman were present at the meeting, among others.
Journalists of greater Dhaka who are working in different media outlets in the capital have been requested to renew their membership and enroll their names in the voter list by paying annual contribution.
