Gazipur district emerged champions of the Dhaka Divisional Commissioner (DC) Gold Cup Football Tournament when they beat Dhaka district by 4-1 goals in the tie-breaker of the final match at the Gazipur Stadium on Friday.
The stipulated ninety-minute match ended in a 1-1 draw.
After the final match, Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque, MP distributed the trophies and prize-money among the winners and the losers as the chief guest. Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell, MP was present with him as the special guest.
