Columnist Md Nazrul Islam Badami , Gazipur Correspondent of the New Nation has achieved caliber honour in Basundhara Medai Award -22 at a function in Bashundhara Convention Centre on Tuesday.
Md Badami is born on 1st January, 1951 in Gilasahar Village of Barmi Union of Sripur Upazila in Gazipur. His father was Idris Mia and mother Ambia Khatun.
He has jointed the journalism profession after completed masters degree.
Now, Badami is the Gazipur Correspondent of the daily.
He has also worked as a reporter and columnist in the Daily Gonomukh, Ajker Janata, Daily Mukto Sangbad, Daily Jonosangbad, Daily Mukto Balaka and other weekly and nation newspaper.
He was injured in 2005 during a serious bomb explosion of JMB at Gazipur gate during covering news.
Md Badami is the proud member of Gazipur Press Club , former president of Gazipur Union of Journalists’. He also engaged with different social organisations.
