Gazi TV clinched the First Pran Krako-DRU Handball title outplaying Jamuna TV by 12-2 goals in the final at the Shaheed (Capt) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium here on Thursday.
They led the first half by 6-2 goals.
Al Amin Sabuj of Gazi TV was adjudged the best player of the final as well as the best player of the tournament scoring highest 37 goals.
Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu was the chief guest in the final and later he distributed the prizes. Champion Gazi TV received prize money of Tk 25,000 and runners-up Jamuna TV got prize money of Tk 15,000 in addition to trophies.
President of Bangladesh Handball Federation President AKM Nurul Fazal Bulbul, general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, DRU President Jamaluddin, former president Shafiqul Karim Sabu, general secretary Raju Ahmed, sports secretary Mojibur Rahman and assistant brand manager of Pran Foods Ltd Raihan Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
Gazi TV booked a seat for the final eliminating Bangla Vision by 6-2 goals while Jamuna TV reached the final eliminating RTV by 2-1 goals in their respective semifinals Thursday morning.
A total 24 teams of different print, eletronics , one line media and news agencies took part in the five day meet concluded on Thursday.
