Gazette of DAP yet to be published by KDA even over two years

Khulna Development Authority (KDA) has proposed a plan called ‘detailed Area Plan’ (DAP) before two ands a half years but Gazette was not published still.
KDA officials, of course, assured that the gazette will be published within short time. Besides, no plans are being approved beyond the DAP, KDA official sources said.
It is mentionable that in the proposed plan 26 maujas of Khulna city corporation, Naoapara Pairashava, (Jessore), Tilok area of Rupsha and 78 maujas of Senhati-Barakpur Area Under Digholia Upazila were included.
With a view to turn Khulna into a modern Metropolitan City, this Master Plan was taken which will be implemented by 33 Government Organizations gradually.
Up to 2023, population of Khulna will stand at around 17 lakh. 171.51 Km new roads will be needed for new areas.
83 Primary Schools, 14 high Schools, one institute, orphanage, 2 general hospitals, one specialized hospital, one nursing institute, 14 markets, 3 metropolitan parks and four town centers will be built according to the plan.
Zero point will be the central trading point as per DAP.
Besides, KDA has extended its area up to Mongla.
Meanwhile, on May 12, 2014 KDA opened its Naoapara office at Naoapara poura bhabon temporarily.
On August 31, 2014, on the banner of ‘KDA’s land acquire protect Sangram committee, agitated Naoapara inhabitants observed agitation by blocking Khulna Jessore highway. The agitated people are not agree to give their ancestral properties to KDA for any kind of development works.
It is notable that the then KDA chairman Brigadier general Shamsul Alam Khan arranged a press conference at KDA Bhaban on September 2, 2014 while he stated that KDA has no plan to acquire land at this moment at Noapara. They (KDA) are Planning and marking of some projects which might be implemented only after approval of DAP, he added.
KDA is always ready to discus with local people, representatives or any Sangram committee before taking any decision, KDA Chairman added.
KDA Chairman requested to remove all kinds of misunderstandings so that Noapara may be developed in future.
Md. Mujibar Rahman, Chief engineer of KDA Said, DAP means a probable Plan. A Section of people are Spreading rumor that KDA is acquiring lands, but it’s not true, he added.
