A circular has been issued revoking the gallantry title of four fugitive self-proclaimed killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The four are — Shariful Huq Dalim (awarded Bir Uttom), Noor Chowdhury (awarded Bir Bikrom), Rashed Chowdhury (awarded Bir Protik) and Muslehuddin Khan (awarded Bir Protik).
The Ministry of Liberation War issued a notification in this regard on Sunday.
In this regard, the Minister for Liberation War Affairs AQM Mozammel Haque said, “It is a shame for the nation that these four self-proclaimed murders of Bangabandhu and others on August 15, 1975, are still having the heroic titles who were sentenced to death by the court.” That is why this gazette has been issued canceling their gallantry title.
At the 72nd meeting of the National Freedom Fighters Council (NFFC) on February 9, it was recommended to revoke the gallantry title of these four self-proclaimed murderers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
