BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir criticized the Awami League leaders on account of their statements alleging the BNP leaders meeting with Pakistani embassy officials in Dhaka and ISI in London.
He warned the ruling party men of refraining from issuing such false propaganda any more. Otherwise the BNP will files case against them.
“It is a heinous lie of the Awami League. They used to engineer false propaganda. I condemn it,” Mirza Fakhrul said it in a press briefing at the party Chairperson’s Gulshan office.
The BNP Secretary General also criticized ruling party leaders allegations that BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman held meeting with Pakistan’s secret agency ISI in London to foil the ensuing national polls.
Mirza Fakhrul said, “No meeting took place in London between Pakistani agency and Tarique Rahman. It is totally fabricated. We will file case if the AL continues such heinous lies.”
Previously, it was Awami League’s General Secretary Obaidul Quader, who accused Tarique Rahman and Mirza Fakhrul of conspiring with Pakistan.
“BNP did not hold any secret meeting with any agency or country,” Mirza Fakhrul strongly said, terming it as propaganda of the ruling party ahead of the election.
Meanwhile, BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, his party leaders did not meet Pakistani officials anywhere.
“It is Prime Minister’s Advisor Gawher Rizvi who went and passed an week in Pakistan recently,” Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said in a press briefing in the party’s Nayapaltan office.
Rizvi added that Pakistan Embassy also protested the news in a statement.
