A 4-member team of Gavi, the global Vaccine Alliance is visiting Bangladesh for a week.
The team members are NilgunAydogan, Senior Country Manager, Tejal Ambardekar, Program Manager, Gavi Secre-tariat, Anais Colombini, Senior Program Manager, Immunization Financing and Sustainability and Ben Omolo, Consultant, Portfolio Financial Management.
On the first day (05 September) of the mission the team met the Secretary, Health Services Division, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare along with other high officials.
Then the team had day long meeting with Gavi partners in a hotel.
The partners included WHO, UNICEF, WB, PATH, Crown Agents along with high officials of the Ministries of Finance and Health and Family Welfare.
Dr. Muhammod Abdus Sabur, Team Leader, Monitoring Agents for COVAX Roll Out in Bangladesh from Crown Agents also participated in the events.
The team will monitor the vaccination programme and to asses the future neccity of cooperation in this regard, sources said.
