Gary Kirsten of South Africa arrived in the city on Sunday night. He will act as an interim Consultant Coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team.
After resignation of Chandika Hathurusingha, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has sought a Head Coach for Bangladesh National Cricket team. The former South African legend cricketer was the Head Coach of India. India clinched the ICC World Cup Cricket under the supervision of Gary Kirsten, who was the Head Coach of that team.
Before reaching the capital, he was the Head Coach of Royal Challengers Bengaluru. As Bengaluru failed to reach the last four of IPL, Gary Kirsten came in the city before finishing his task to coach Bengaluru.
