Police rounded up one garments factory owner named Moinuddin for alleged assault to police yesterday.
The incident occurred at Tinpool area under Kotwali thana in city on Tuesday evening. Local and eye witnesses sources said Garments owner Moinuddin illegally parked his vehicle on road without parking place for a long time as a result the traffic congestions turned severe nature.
Police and armed police forces have been deployed in roads to maintain discipline of traffic movement in important points of the city. After his return from nearby market, he was asked the reasons for illegal parking by on duty policemen .
Instead of apology for his illegal parking rather he swooped on police and assault one policeman . Later other on duty police officials came over the spot and rounded up and took at Kotwali thana police. Asstt Police Commissioner of Kotwali Zone Abdur Rauf told that garments owner held for obstructing the govt responsibilities by the police to keep congestion free city ahead of Eid shopping. Preparations underway to file the case against him.
