Garment accessories manufacturers has received very positive response from apparel maker from home and abroad at the GAPEXO-2017 ended on Saturday.
Bangladeshi as well as the foreign manufacturers of RMG accessories and packaging took part in the four day GAPEXPO-2017 held at International Convention Centre, Bashundhara in between January 18 and 21.
In the expo, exhibitors received very positive response from the apparel manufacturers and they have been able to establish a network with the new customers, Bangladesh Garment Accessories and Packaging Manufactures and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) president Andul Kader Khan said.
The expo is aimed at broding the buyers and ,manufacturers, I think the have been abe to do that, said Khan.
GARMENTECH and GAPEXPO is the largest show on the clothing industry. It helps the manufacturers to know about the latest technology and fashion trends, said secretary of Industry Ministry.
It also helps exhibitors to exchange views a,ong the displayers, which hekp to create more value addition.
Bangladesh Garment Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA), ASK Trade and Exhibition Private Limited and Zakaria Trade and Fair International jointly organized the expo to bring manufacturers and buyers to a common platform to exchange views.
In the last fiscal year, deemed export earnings of garment accessories and packaging stood at $6.12 billion, which is 9.28% higher compared to $5.6 billion in the previous year.
In the expo, there will have about 600 stalls in 8 halls, where manufacturers from Bangladesh, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, USA, United Kingdom (UK), Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Finland and Switzerland will exhibit their latest products. A total of 94 companies from home and abroad will display garments accessories and packaging items with machinery, all kinds of garments machinery with boiler and spare parts.
