The City Corporations’ cleaners are responsible for this, say the citizens.
On the other hand, the City Corporation officials are blaming the residents’ unconsciousness.
“Piles of household waste are seen beside lanes and by-lanes. The cleaners are very irregular in collecting waste. Most of the times the waste dumping containers are overflowed as the City Corporations’ trucks failed to collect waste from those containers. It is mostly found in Wari just under Mayor Mohammad Hanif Flyover,” said Abdul Aleem, from Wari.
The city residents said that private waste collectors are very irregular to collect waste from homes.
“We pay their wages in full. But they are not honest in their duty. We are seriously sufferers. The waste is creating stink in every house. As a result, many of the residents used to throw
their household waste on the streets. It creates unbearable stink in every lane and street,” said Hussain Ahmed, the Owner of Medicine Point at Gandaria.
He said it becomes impossible to go on morning walk as the rotten waste is seen in different areas on the way.
