Bangladesh Garments Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) is going to organize ‘GAPEXPO- 2016’ with a view to promoting the backward linkage industries of the manufacturing sector in the global market, said the leaders of the BGAPMEA.
The four day long expo will be held at International Convention City in the city from January 13.
“We are expecting a Tk 3.00 billion spot order and a large number of global buyers in Garment Accessories and Packaging Expo (GAPEXPO)-2016 as the country manufactures attractive apparel accessories,” President of BGAPMEA Rafez Alam Chowdhury told The New Nation on Monday.
The cheap basic apparel accessories would attract the new buyers of Japan, South Africa, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Russia to the annual exposition, said the president.
This event is the second largest export- oriented trade show of the country and it is going to represent more than 1300 cartons and accessories industries of Bangladesh, Chowdhury said.
He said this exposition is going to provide a marketing platform for our members to display their latest products and latest collection to the RMG Exporters and buying houses who will be visiting the show.
He said buyers from more then 20 countries confirmed their participation in the GAPEXPO.
“China, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, India, USA and some European countries have ensured their participation,” he said.
All sorts of cartons and all categories of accessories like poly bag, back board, neck board, collar insert, butterfly, collar bone, sewing thread, tape, elastic, printed and woven label, zipper, sticker, hang-tag, hanger, button, draw-cord, draw-string, interlining, tissue paper padding, quilting, barcode, embroidery, gum tape, stopper, pp-band will be exhibited in the show.
