Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) arrested the notorious gang leader of pirates Khokan Bahini Moham-mad Khokan alias Khoka-nya Dacoit from offshore island Hatia on Tuesday night.
The team of BCG claimed arresting his accomplices and recovering four guns from his possession. Sources said, a team of BCG raided the den of Khokan at offshore island Hatia and arrested him from the spot.
When the BCG team surrounded the den of Khokan, the gang opened fire on BCG team. In retaliation, BCG team also opened fire. However, the accomplices of Khokan could manage to escape from the spot during the raid, but Khokan was arrested.
As per the statement of Khokan, the team arrested another accomplice of him from other spot. The raid continued till Wednesday. BCG officials alleged that arrested Khokan is a notorious gang leader of pirates gang Khokan Bahini, Coastr Guard , Chittagong south zone sources said.
