Gaibandha rugby team emerged champions in the day-long rugby competition beating Rajshahi rugby team by 12-10 points in the final held on Wednesday at Physical Education College Ground in the city’s Mohammadpur.
Thirty players from four teams took part in the meet, organized by Bangladesh Rugby Federation (BRF).
The participating teams are Rajshahi, Narail, Jessore and Gaibandha rugby clubs.
The Bangladesh Ruby Federation (BRF) arranged the competition in order boost up the thirty under-16 rugby players who have been selected from the final phase of talent hunt program from the grassroots’ level.
Earlier, Physical education College principal formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.
