Staff Reporter: Awami League MP of Gaibandha-3 Yunus Ali Sarker passed away at a hospital in Dhaka on Friday morning. He was 67.
Yunus breathed his last at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) around 7:30am.
He had been suffering from lung cancer for a long time now and was admitted to BSMMU five months ago, Awami League sources said.
He was elected MP from Sadullahpur-Palashbari constituency of Gaibandha for the first time in 2014.
