Some 25- km roads of Gafargaon to Bormi has turned into a death-trap for the people of the areas .
Everyday vehicles are getting out of order to move on this road increasing the road accidents largely.
When visited the road it is seen from Municipality Town point ,Thana Crossing to Shilasi Fahirbari, Neguari Union to Muktijoddha Bazar and half kilometer road are being damaged deriously.
Besides, Dhamail, Uthuri, Mahirkharua, Kuksair, Longair, Saterbari, Malmal, Moyra, Pagla, Tekpara, Mednertek, Merapara Bridge, Swalosapila, different parts of road in these area have been creating bad small and large holes have been developed and this road is becoming unfit for movement day by day.
About more than 5 hundred small and large holes have been cdevloped on 25 km road. As a result, at the time of moving the vehecles like loaded truck, P-kup, Nosimon , Tempo, Auto-Rickshaw, Easy-bike are about to fall down like plying boat in the river.
The drivers are collecting extra fee on the excuse of risky road. The laden-truck does not come to this road seeing holes . As a result, the goods of businessmen and farmers of Gafargaon, Longair, Datterbazar, Tangabo, Neguari union including some parts of Pourashava have to fall into trouble to carry out the agricultural products taking to market
UP chairman Roksana of Datterbazar said, some parts of the road had been repaired six years ago and now the repaired parts of the road have become unsuitable for low standard construction work within one year. The rest part of the road has not been repaired for 18 years.
Executive Engineer of Mymensingh Highway Md. Masud Khan said, Tk 200 cr project has been submitted to Planning Commission to turn this road into highway .
