Secretary of the Ministry of Railways Mohammad Selim Reza visited the Gafargaon railway station on Wednesday morning to ensure comfortable rail travel and development of modern model with the slogan “Sheikh Hasina’s philosophy, railway development” on the occasion of “Mujib Year”.
According to Gafargaon Railway Station sources, Secretary to the Ministry of Railways, Selim Reza visited the Mymensingh and Jamalpur District 4 out of 55 model stations, Gafargaon, Mymensingh, Jamalpur, Islampur Bazar on the occasion of “Mujib Year”.
He told the upazila administration, journalists and railway officials that Gafargaon station would be a modern remodel station.
Hopefully we can start work as soon as possible. There will be a modern railway station with facilities like M room, station master room, booking office, parcel office, 1st class lounge, VIP lounge, boundary wall around the station, and extension of platform and extension of platform set. He was accompanied by Pranab Kumar Ghosh (Additional Secretary, Ministry of Railways), Md.
