An old man named Altab Uddin (70) died after being crushed under a mud wall at Gafargaon in Mymensingh district on Monday. The deceased was a resident of Baghergaon village under Usthi union of the upazila.
According to local and family sources, the deceased old man Altab Uddin was renovating his own house around 2.30 pm. At that time, the wall of the mud house collapsed and he was crushed under it. Later, the locals came and rescued him after trying for about an hour and took him to the Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty declared him dead.
