Pagla police have arrested a murder accused named Chanu Mia, 65, after 19 years from Kanyamandal village of Dutterbazar union under Pagla police station at Gafargaon under Mymensingh. Chanu Mia is the son of late Suryat Ali of the area.
Pagla Police Station OC Rasheduzzaman said Chanu Mia, the accused in the murder case, had been in hiding for 19 years. He had been on the run since the arrest warrant was issued in the case. He was arrested from Pakundia police station in Kishoreganj district on Tuesday night on a tip-off. He was sent to Mymensingh court on Wednesday.
