Gafargaon MP Fahmi Golandaj Babel has inaugurated mass vaccination activities at the union level announced by the government in Gafargaon of Mymensingh.
The inaugural function was held at the Saltia Union Parishad office in the upazila on Saturday (August 8) morning.
MP Fahmi Golandaj Babel addressed the function as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Upazila Nibarhi Officer (UNO) Md. Tajul Islam.
Among others, Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashraf Uddin Badal, Municipal Mayor SM Iqbal Hossain Sumon, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Mainuddin Khan.
Upazila Vice Chairman Principal Ataur Rahman, Women Vice Chairman Reshma Akhter, Gafargaon Police Station OC Anukul Sarkar, UP Chairman Nazmul Haque Dhali and other people’s representatives, government officials, dignitaries of the area, leaders and workers of Awami League and allied organizations were present.
Member of Parliament Fahmi Golandaj Babel said, “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken the right steps to deal with the epidemic. Many countries in the world have not yet been able to arrange a mass vaccination. Our compassionate Prime Minister has arranged vaccinations for every person in the country. About 21 crore vaccines have been purchased from different countries and sources around the world. Every human being will be brought under the vaccine in stages.
