Unhygienic environment has been prevailing at Gafargaon Upazila Health Complex in Mymensingh causing untold sufferings to the patients , it is alleged.
Many patients get admission in the hospital but leave and the patients and relatives blamed the negligence and mismanagement of the hospital staff for this situation.
When visited the hospital negligence of authority, mismanagement and unhygienic environment have been found.
Female Ward, toilet and washroom basin have not been cleaned for a long time and it is covered with kind of duck-weed. The dirty water stored in the basin spreads smell over the whole ward. By the side of every bed the tables have been covered with rust of iron and layer of dirty. The same situation prevails in male ward. In female ward only 7 ceiling fans for 20 beds. Among them 4 fans are running and three have gone out of order. In the same male ward only 6 fans are for 20 beds .
