Work of many projects in Gafargaon Upazila and construction of regional roads, highways, roads, bridges, drains, river dredging, embankments, flood control dams, school, college building construction and construction of about 18 ‘ Development work worth crores of Taka is going on.
Besides, in the last six and a half years, development work worth thousands of crores of Tk has been completed in Gafargaon Upazila under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Integrated and planned initiatives have been taken in every field of development including communication, education, agriculture, medicine, electricity in the Upazila, Gafargaon Upazila is changing.
He was speaking as the chief guest at an exchange meeting titled ‘Gafargaon 2041 Unnayan Bhabana’ at Gafargaon Upazila Parishad auditorium on Saturday (October 24) evening.
Earlier, MP Babel laid the foundation stone of a modern children’s park at Gafargaon Upazila Parishad premises and laid a wreath at the mural of Father of the Nation Bangabundhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in front of the administrative building of the Upazila Parishad.
Fahmi Golandaj Babel MP further said that for the welfare of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Gafargaon Upazila has witnessed a record development of Tk 1.8 trillion in the last six and a half years.
Paved roads have been constructed in remote char areas and beel areas. Bridges, bridges, canals have been built over rivers, canals and beels. Village after village has been electrified.
Uninterrupted power supply has been provided. Significant progress has been made in the development of social security networks, food grain production, health and educational infrastructure. Initiatives have been taken to implement incomplete development works in a planned manner considering the importance of the people to build the developed Gafargaon of developed Bangladesh by 2041 announced by the Prime Minister.
