A devastating fire broke out in a Taiwan invested Furniture factory located at Karnaphuli Export Processing zone in Chittagong yesterday morning. The foreign invested Taiwanese industry named Tendex Furniture Industry Ltd.
Fire services Asstt. Director Md. Jasim Uddin told that sensing the news of fire in the export oriented furniture industry , 6 mobile fire controlling unit sent to the sport and brought the fire under control after one and half hour. The losses so incurred in the fire yet to be ascertained , fire services sources said. Sources said maximum damage caused in the finishing section of the factory. The reasons of fire yet to be traced , soruces said.
