Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Railway ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP said the students of the Raozan upazila will have scope of higher education within the jurisdiction of the upazila living with their family members. He disclosed it while addressing the annual sports competition and prize giving ceremony of Raozan Noapara University College on Sunday as Chief Guest.
The chief guest said three existing Degree Colleges have been upgraded into university College in the meantime and initiatives taken to establish a fullfledged univeristy very shortly. He said the education facilities of this upazila is rare visible in other areas of the country .
The lawmaker also informed that govt in the meantime announced nationalisation of one college and one high school in this upazila .He also mentioned the school feeding programs for 182 primary school which will be turned into a national programs for primary school very soon. He also encouraged the students to probe their talentcy in sports and cultural arena beside the study. He also urges the students of this upazila to build themselves to compete the talents at national level. Principal of the College Kafiluddin Chowdhury presided the prize distribution ceremony duly conducted by Prof.Ahmed Hossain and Prof.Salsabil Kabir chowdhury.
Among others, Raozan UNO Shamim Hossain, Prof. Selim Newaz Chowdhury of Raozan University college, Chairman Didarul Alam, Chairman Syed AbdulJabbar Sohel,chairman Bhupesh Barua, former chairman Monirul Islam and local Awami league leaders spoke on the occasion. The chief guest in concluding session of the programs, distributed honourary crests to collegePrincipal for upholding the nice college environment and prizes to the participants of the sports competitions, sources said.
