Victory month December: Fulbari freed day celebrated

Freedom fighters of Fulbari has celebrated the Fulbari Freedom Day with colourful programmes in Fulbari Upazila of Dinajpur on Monday recently. Local freedom fighters organised various programmes to celebrate the day in a befitting manner.
A colorful victory rally of the Fulbari-freed day was taken out of the upazila parishad complex under the leadership of Primary and Mass Education Minister freedom fighter Mostafizur Rahman Fizar MP.
Later, the reorganisation and discussion was arranged at Shahid Minar Chattar of the local Sujapur Model High School with former freedom fighter Commander Md. Moksed Ali Shah in the chair. Primary and Mass Education Minister Freedom Fighter Mostafizur Rahman Fizar, MP, as the chief guest attended the discussion. UNO, Abdus Salam Chowdhury, president of the upazila Awami League, Haider Ali Shah, General Secretary Mushfiqur Rahman Babul, Joint General Secretary Masudur Rahman Masud, District Council member Alhaj Md. Kamruzzaman Shah Kamri, Thana officer-in-Charge, OC, Sheikh Nasim Habib, among the freedom fighters, former Deputy Commander, Aishar Uddin, Md Mosaddek Ali Shah, Md. Abdus Samad, former BDR officer, Mahbub Rahman, Md. Saiful Haque, Md. Abul Kashem, Md. Tojammel Haque, Md. About Saiful Islam addressed the event as special guests.
At the program, the freedom fighters of the upazila including deceased freedom fighter’s family members alongwith people of different professionals were also present.
Celebration turns Panchagarh town jubilant: The people of Panchagarh on Wednesday day celebrated the Panchagarh Freedom Day-2017 Day with colourful programmes turning the sub- Himalayan district town jubilant. The district administration with district Muktijoddha Sangshad organised various programmes to celebrate the day in a befitting manner.
The celebration began by placing wreaths at the mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Circuit House premises in the morning followed by a colourful procession. Led by Member of the Parliament (MP) from Panchagrh-1 constituency Nazmul Hoque Prodhan, freedom fighters, officials, students, teachers and socio- cultural, political and professional activists and common people participated in the rally.
Later, a discussion was arranged at the Muktijoddha Complex auditorium with Deputy Commissioner Amal Krishna Mandal in the chair. Nazmul Hoque Prodhan, MP, as the chief guest attended the discussion.
Selina Jahan Lita, MP, Superintendent of Police for Panchagarh Giasuddin Ahmed, Zila parishad Chairman Md Amanullah Bachchu, Peoples’ Perspective Specialist at the Prime Minister’s Office Naimuzzaman Mukta and former District Muktijoddha Commander Mirja Abul Kalam Dulal addressed the event as special guests.
Freedom fighters Ismail Hossain, Shaykhul Islam, Sharif Hossain, Alauddin Prodhan and many others narrated heroism and bravery of the freedom fighters in liberating Panchagarh on November 29, 1971.
The chief guest said the occupation forces had to retreat from Panchagarh on November 28 in face of fierce attacks by the freedom fighters and allied forces and the triumphant freedom fighters entered Panchagarh town liberating it on November 29.
