Police arrested a fugitive arms case convict from Chandrapur area in Hathazari upazila on Friday night.
The arrestee was identified as Abu Taher, 36, son of Tobarak Ali. He was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment in an arms case. Nasir Uddin, sub-inspector of Hathazari Police Station, said on secret information, a team of police conducted drive in the area at night and arrested Taher.
Police also seized a pistol and 10 rounds of bullets from his possession.
