A fruit trader was stabbed to death by hijackers at Kabirpur Nabinagar-Chandra highway area of Ashulia on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Motaleb, 32, of nagorpur thana of Tangail district. He was living in a rental house of Baroipara area.
Witnesses and police said, Motaleb was going to Baipail frut market for purchasing fruit for his shop. At the time a gang of hijackers attacked him inside the bus and stabbed him again and again.
After killing him they took his money and through his dead body beside the highway. When locals informed it to Ashulia police station then police reached the spot and recovered deceased dead body.
