Winter is still feeling in the weather and now we are at the end of the festive season. Our skin goes through a lot on a daily basis. Harsh chemicals in the air, the pollution, dust and sun rays make the situation worse for our skin.
While indulging in fruit facials or other facials is constantly on our minds, we never have enough time to go to a parlor and spend 2 hours on a facial. There are some fruits that can be used to do facials. You can try these fruit face packs from the kitchen.
Figs
Mash some figs and mix it with walnut paste and milk. Apply this as a fresh cream for about 15 minutes and wash off with fresh milk. It is good for skin that is dehydrated.
Apples
Full of natural vitamins, they have astringent properties to make your skin supple and hydrated. Boil and mash an apple and mix with 1 tsp of honey and apply on your face. Leave for about 10 minutes for a soft skin.
Pomegranates
Pomegranate makes for a good winter body scrub. Take the seeds of one pomegranate, pound it in a petal and mortar. To this coarsely pound mixture adds 2 tbsp almond powder and 2 tsp milk powder. Mix well and gently rub on the skin in a rotating manner. Wash off with milk and then with lukewarm water.
Avocados
High on Vitamin A, E, D, minerals and potassium this fruit is excellent for nourishing dry and sun damaged skin. In a blender whip together mashed avocado mixed, a teaspoon of fresh cream and few drops of honey to make one of the best hydrating masks. Apply this onto the skin for at least 15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. Strawberries
Strawberries with their medicinal and astringent properties can be used as a scrub. You can take mashed strawberries and mix with curds. Apply evenly on the face and leave for 15 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water.
Orange
Apart from eating them in plentiful to increase your immunity through the winter, they are easy to use you for the skin too. Just rub the skin with orange peel or sun dry and powder the peels and store for later use. You can use this powder with milk and honey to make a natural nourishing scrub.
Papaya
Its great qualities aid problems like acne, stomach issues and blemishes on the skin. Take mashed papaya with 2 tsp pineapple juice, 1 tsp glycerine, 1 tsp milk powder. Mix well and apply the paste on face for 15-20 minutes. Wash after 20 minutes.
Banana
Working wonders on dry skin banana helps nourish and tighten the skin by opening the pores. A perfect mask is mashed banana with honey and 1 tsp of oatmeal. Apply and leave for 15 minutes and wash off with little milk. n
