Launching ceremony of Labonno’s first poetry book titled Frozen Silence was held at Drik Gallery in the city’s Dhanmondi area recently.
This romantic poetry based book is the creation of accomplished poet Labbonno, also an expressionist.
Eminent novelist and scriptwriter Anisul Haque, renowned photographer Chanchal Mahmood, noted cinematographer and photographer Anwar Hossain, Minister (Press) High Commission in London Nadim Kader, and Editor of Bangladesh Protidin Nayeem Nizam, Labonno, among others, were present on the occasion.
The book was designed and published by Simba Publications.
The poetry book is a compilation of over 100 poems based on love, which contains every emotion that a romantic poetry lover would look for.
Reading through the verses, one can easily connect to all the emotions that the poet herself had felt- inspiration, pain, rebellion, spirituality and much more.
Labbonno is a Bangladeshi poet who made her mark with heart wrenching poetry in the very famous literary website Deviant Art. Com.
She has written over 200 poems in both Bangla and English and also works as a singer, actor, TV host and visual artist.
She is a bilingual poet who is set to launch her Bengali poetry book sometime at the end of this year.
She started a Facebook page in 2009 which has attracted poetry fans from all four corners of the world.
