Friendship Day is celebrated around the world in order to create awareness and encouraging the sense of friendship. Friendship is nothing but a lucid bond between two people where both the participants are able and in a state to share every subtle thing cooking inside the mind. People like to greet their best friends in this day which includes friendship day wishes, messages, parties, gifts and many more. This year friendship day is celebrating on 5 August.
The idea of friendship day was first given by Joyce Hall, the founder of Hallmark cards in the year 1930. Later on in 1935, US Congress declared the first Sunday of August as friendship day through a formal proclamation announcement as a holiday to honor the friendship. On the way, the international friendship day was also decided to celebrate on 30th July as per resolution adopted by United Nations in 2011. It was decided to forge a strong bond of friendship among people of various countries irrespective of their race, colour, gender, religion, ethnicity and other such factor. However, few countries in Asia including Bangladesh, India and Malaysia celebrated friendship day on the first Sunday of August.
A friend is always devoted his/her friend in helping various issues of life. There is no boundation of selecting friends on any ground like caste, age, sex, creed such differentiations that exist within the society. A friend is that person of life who knows all the realities of his/her friend and helps each other on every issue. Having true friend is one of the most precious gifts one can ever have in his/her life. A person should consider himself/herself one of the luckiest persons on the earth if he/she true and sweet friend in their life. Real friends give up any sweet and pleasurable event for the betterment of the friend.
Friendship does not need any formalities. As a social animal, the human being needs somebody faithful to share and care the critical and crucial situations and moments of life. A true relationship is necessary for a man for developing sense of friendship independence and feel protected from the anguishes and storm of life. He sacrifices his lives for his friends after getting several chances to leave the Holle Artishan Bakery at the time of terrorist attack there on 1st July 2016. Faraaz refused to leave his friends behind the bakery and showed the strongest friendship bond to the world.

Human being also establishes friendships with their pet animals such as cats, dogs, horses, doves, parrots, kakatuwa, mayna etc. Friendship can also be felt in familial relationships between father and son, mother and daughter, husband and wife, brother and sister, elder brother/sister and younger brother/sister. Generally it grows between the persons of the same age without the limitation of sex and position. Though it can be develop between person having similar or different passions, emotions and sentiments, but most of the times it is established between the persons having same passion, emotion, choices and life style.

A stranger can be an enemy but not worst enemy. Often bad friends can turn a friend’s life to the world of darkness. It has been observed that drug and other addiction come from the bad companion.
