Freshers’ Reception program at NUB

Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) has recently organized a “Freshers’ Reception Program” on its campus. NUB Trust Chairman Prof Dr Abu Yousuf Md. Abdullah was the chief guest of the program. Prof Dr Anwar Hossain, Vice-Chancellor, NUB attended the program as the special guest. Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Anwarul Karim and Treasurer Md. Anwar Hossain were also present as guests.
Chief guest Prof Dr AYM Abdullah referred the new students as the new members of NUB family. From the beginning, he advised new students to engage in study. He said, ‘the future can’t be built without industry and hard work. Students must be so diligent’. He also said, “we will be big engineers, big businessmen or service holders, we will be big Bengali too. We should not forget Bengal”.
The special guest Dr Anwar Hossain said, studying is not limited in the textbooks only. You have to keep your eyes open and you will also have to acquire knowledge from the daily affairs of the world. He also described the achievement of character as a manifestation of education.
Dean of Science Faculty Prof Dr Mohammad Ekram Ali Sekh Presided over the program. The program was also attended by the Registrar and Director of Development and International Affairs of NUB Lt Colonel Aqtadar Ahmed Siddiqui (retd.), Head of the department of General Education Dr Kazi Shahadat Kabir Rimon, Additional Registrar Md. Abul Hossain, Faculty Members, Administrative officials and newbie students of different departments. In the end of the program colorful cultural events were served.
