A freshers’ reception and farewell programme was held at Islamic University (IU) on Thursday amid festivity and much enthusiasm.
IU greater Chattogram Students Welfare Association organised the programme adjacent to Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman auditorium of the university around 11am.
IU Arabic Language and Literature department Professor Mahfuzur Rahman addressed the programme as the chief guest while Assistant Proctor also Associate Professor of Al-Fiqh & Legal Studies department Nasir Al-Azhary and Lecturer of Development Studies department AHM Nahid spoke as special guests. Abdul Malek Fahad, a second year student of Tourism and Hospitality Management department conducted the function, which was attended by over one hundred students of different departments of the university.
