Freshers’ reception for students of 2015-16 session and farewell reception for the students of Master of Science 2013-14 session of the Physics Department was held at Dhaka University (DU) Teacher-Student center (TSC) auditorium here on Monday.
Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique attended the function as chief guest while Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Dr Nasreen Ahmad, Treasurer Prof Dr M Kamal Uddin and Physics Department Dean Prof Dr M Abdul Aziz were present as special guests.
Chairman of the Physics Department Dr Nasima Ferdous presided over the function.
Arefin Siddique said Physics Department is a traditional department as it has huge contribution towards the development of human civilization.
He urges the new students to remain active in the field of knowledge and uphold the prestige of the department.
He also said, they should feel proud to become a member of the department of the university.
