A freshers’ reception ceremony was held at BUET for the newly enrolled students’ of Level-1, Term-1, of session 2016-2017 organized by the university.
The function was addressed by Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice-Chancellor, BUET on Saturday at the University Central Auditorium.
Vice-Chancellor suggested the newly enrolled students to study regularly & attentively to build up their own career. He also emphasized the need to obey the rules of BUET to run the academic atmosphere properly and encouraged the students to avail the facilities of Central Library and take part in the other extra curricular activities of BUET.
The function was also addressed among others, by Prof. Dr. Zebun Nasreen Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Architecture & Planning, Prof. Dr. Md. Mazharul Hoque, Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Prof. Dr. M. Kaykobad, Dean, Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Prof. Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Md. Maksud Helali, Dean, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder, Director, Directorate of Students’ Welfare, BUET and Registrar (Addl. Charge) of BUET Prof. Dr. N. M. Golam Zakaria.
