A freshers’ reception of Fall Semester-2018 students of Shanto -Mariam University of Creative Technology , attractive cultural function and raffle draw were held at Army Golf Club on Saturday, says a press release.
Begum Rashida Hamid, first lady of the country was present as Chief Guest while VC of the Bangladesh Open University Dr M A Mannan as special guest.
Among others, founder of Shanto -Mariam Foundation and eminent freedom fighter Md Enamul Kabir Shanto , VC of the Shanto -Mariam University of Creative Technology Dr Kazi Md Mofizur Rahman, Treasurer Prof Shamsunnahar , Registrar A R Hosna Ara Rahman, Proctor Dr Golam Mostafa , IQAC Director Prof Dr Yeasmin Ahmed were present on the occasion.
At the function, documentary of the university was screened and theme songs were rendered. Speakers at the function urged the students to be imbued with the human values and practical approach of education to build an educated nation .
