The Ambassador of France to Bangladesh Sophie Aubert called on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Wednesday at the latter’s office of the university.
Deputy Head of Mission of the same Embassy Jean-Pierre Poncet and Director of Alliance Francaise Bruno Plasse were present on this occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed various bi-lateral issues including development of academic and cultural relationship between Bangladesh and France.
They stressed the need for expansion of French Language Programme at Dhaka University.
The Ambassador expressed her willingness to provide job facilities to DU graduates in various French companies in Bangladesh.
She also assured the VC of providing more scholarships to DU young faculties for higher study in France.
Besides, DU Vice-Chancellor sought cooperation from the French delegation to develop Dance Department at the university.
The French delegation also assured the VC of providing support in this
regard.
