The heroic freedom fighters of Rangpur called upon all to take an oath to build the country united to build the golden Bengal of Bangabandhu’s dream of freedom from terrorism, militancy, drugs and violence against women in the spirit of liberation war free from hunger, poverty, exploitation and deprivation. They said this at the Rangpur City Corporation premises on Saturday on the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence. Md. Ruhul Amin Miah, Chief Executive Officer of Rangpur City Corporation presided over the function. City Mayor Md. Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa was the chief guest. Muktijoddha Adv Ilias Ahmed, Sadrul Alam Dulu and Panel Mayor Mahamudur Rahman Titu spoke as distinguished guests. On the occasion, 10 brave freedom fighters of Rangpur were greeted by the city mayor.
