Engineer Md. Sekander Ali Khan, a freedom fighter and retired General Manager of Bangladesh Cycle Industries Limited died at the age of 71 at a city hotel on Saturday last, said a press release on Monday.
Sekander Ali Khan, was a 1969 B.Sc. graduate of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and a 1981 M.Sc. graduate of the University of Strathclyde, UK.
After serving in the public sector for 24 years as a chief engineer for various industries under the Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation, he retired as the General Manager for Bangladesh Cycle Industries, Ltd., and subsequently served as a consultant to the International Labor Organization and in the private sector.
He is survived by his wife, son, daughter and grandson.
