Freedom fighter and also former chairman Abhaynagar council Abdul Maleq is no more. He breathed his last at around 12:20am on Saturday. He was 68.
His younger brother Abdul Kuddus told The New Nation that Abdul Maleq was rushed to Abhaynagar upazila health complex first as he felt pain in the chest and then shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital. But he died on the way.
He was buried at his Barandi village based family graveyard after two namaj-e-janaja held at Nawapara Pirbari and Fakirhat School ground in the evening.
