The National Liver Foundation of Bangladesh has started providing free treatment for viral hepatitis affected underprivileged children to save thousands of lives in the country, said a press release on Friday.
The foundation is facilitating the free treatment from its zakat fund – “National Liver Foundation Zakat Fund”, where patients will receive all kind of benefits like free consultation and medicine, vaccine and immunoglobulin to new born with Hepatitis B.
Interested patients are requested to contact over the mobile no 01758998833 or visit the website www.liver.org.bd to get the free service. According to the foundation, country’s 4-7 percent populations are affected by hepatitis B while 1-3 percent are hepatitis C and at least 3.5 percent of pregnant women have Hepatitis B viral infection.
