City Desk :A two day long free eye camp sponsored by Rotary Club of Dhaka Buriganga began in Faridpur on Friday at local BNSB Jahurul Haque Eye hospital. The inaugural function chaired by Honorary Executive Director of the hospital Professor Md. Shahjahan, was addressed by the chief guest M. Azizul Haque, past president of Buriganga Rotary club and also former Inspector General of Bangladesh Police. The inaugural function was also addressed by Dr. Md. Farukuzzaman, eye consultant of this hospital who will also conduct the operation in the camp.In the free eye camp 40 poor people with cataract problem will be operated upon by fixing Intra Ocular Lens (IOL) in the patient’s eye. The patients will also be provided with eye glass and necessary medicine during and after the operation free.
