Free seeds and fertilizers have been distributed among small and marginal farmers in Ishwardi to increase the production of various crops under the agricultural incentive program. The event was organized by the Ishwardi Department of Agricultural Extension in the auditorium of Udyan Nursery on Tuesday (November 9) morning.
Upazila Chairman Bir Muktijoddha Alhaj Naib Ali Biswas inaugurated the function.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer PM Imrul Kayes presided over the function. Special guests were Vice Chairman Abdus Salam Khan and Atia Ferdous Kakli.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Mita Sarkar gave welcome speech. Among others, Murad Malitha, Joint Convener of Krishak League, Mahmud Alam Khan, Agriculture Extension Officer and Harunar Rashid, Rural Development Officer spoke on the occasion. Deputy Agriculture Officer Sujan Roy conducted the program.
Later, free seeds and fertilizers and a harvester machine were distributed among 3,600 farmers.
