Police in a drive picked up two members of a fraud gang, including its chief, from city’s Uttara area on Tuesday.
They are Md Shahin Alam, 45, chief of the gang, and Hemayet Khan Hayder, 40, who introduced him as editor of a district-level newspaper ‘Dainik Alokito Shokal’, said Masudur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
According to the allegation, a team of police raided ‘Human Research Primary Health’ oraganisation in the area in the afternoon and arrested them.
The arrested men received a large amount of money from many people alluring them of giving jobs with lucrative salaries and by giving advertisement in bdjobs and different newspapers.
