Seven players sharing the 2nd position closely with 5.5 points each. They are FM M Saif Uddin Lavlu and M Jamal Uddin of Titas, Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan of Mymensingh, Sohel Chowdhury of Leonine, CM Mahtabuddin Ahmed Robin of Mohammedan, Ikramul Haq Siam of Police and Md. Alamgir Hossin of Narail.
In the 7th round games, Nasir beat Mohammad Sagar, Delwar beat FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman, Minhaz split points with Debaraj, FM Aminul Islam drew with M Khorshed Alam, Lavlu beat FM Mehdi Hasan Parag, Jamal beat Saiful Islam Chowdhury, Sohel beat Abu Hanif, Mostafa beat Mohammed Sherajul Kabir, Robin beat Faisal Hossain, Siam beat M Nasim Hossain Bhuiyan, Alamgir neat Nayan Kumar Mohanto.
