Four placed on remand over seizure of LSD

A Dhaka court on Monday placed four people on remand for different terms in a case filed over seizure of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and a new but more dangerous drug N, N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT).
The remanded accused people are- Syed Moin Uddin Ahmed alias Shadab, Swapnil Hossain, Abraham Junayed Taher and Simion Khandaker.
Of the four, Shadab and Swapni were placed on two-day remand each, while Abraham and Simion were remanded for a day each.
Metropolitan Magistrate Md Shahinur Rahman of the CMM Court of Dhaka passed the order as police earlier produced the four accused in the court and pleaded to place them on a five-day remand each.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested the four on Saturday from Tejgaon Love Road area and seized 40 LSD blotting papers, 600 milligrams of DMT, 62 grams of ganja and different materials of inhaling drugs from them.
