A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver died as his vehicle hit a roadside tree after he lost control over it in Ranirhat area of Rangunia upazila early on Saturday, said police.
The deceased is Sekandar, 35, son of Din Mohammed from Tandachori area of the upazila.
Another report says: One person was killed in a road accident at Rangunia in Chittagong on Friday night.
The victim was identified as Mohammad Sekandar (35). He was the son of Deen Mohammad at Thandachari under Rangunia in Chittagong.
Police said Mohammed Sekandar was going to Rangamati by a CNG run auto rickshaw from Rangunia. The vehicle fell in the road side ditch when the driver lost control over the steering at around 10.30 pm.
The victim Mohammad Sekandar was critically injured in the accident. He, however, died on the way to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
bdnews24.com adds: A truck rammed into a bus in Cox’s Bazar killing two passengers on the sport and left four others injured.
The incident was reported on Friday at the district’s Ramu Upazila on the Cox’s Bazar- Teknaf Road, said police.
Tulatoli Highway Police OC Md Muzahidul Islam said the unidentified dead passengers were male and estimated to be 35 years old.
Around 9:30am, a speeding truck hit the bus from behind leaving two dead on the spot.
